Bao Zhong - Formosa Paochung

Description

Very mildly fermented tea from a tea plant of Fujian type, distinctive for its long narrow leaves. After very brief fermentation it is wrapped in cotton paper and dried by roasting. Hence its title. Pao Chung has a soft flavor,but is slightly more full-bodied than Tung Ting or Tie Guan Yin.

 

 

Preparation

Put 5-7g of tea (a whole tea-scoop full) straight into the pot and pour in water taken off the boil two minutes beforehand (190-195 F). Brew 1½ minutes. This tea will give several more infusions.
